What point on the Earth's surface is farthest from the center?
Due to the rotation of the earth and its semi-solid state, our planet is
actually an "oblate spheroid" and as such is somewhat bulgy in the
middle. Therefore, any point along the equator should be about as far from
the center as you can get.
