material to move 1 person. This equates to about 0.7 KWH to go one mile.
A typical lighter weight vehicle has an energy "efficiency" of 0.2--0.4
KWH per mile. The target goal for EV's is about 0.2 KWH per mile.
The buzzwords are Personal Rapid Transportation. (or Modular Automated Invididual Transport) The first version of these systems appeared in the 1970's known as People Mover's but the concept really never caught on.
