  1. How is degenerate material different from "normal" material?

  2. Why do planetary nebulae glow?

  3. Why does it take more energy to burn Helium into Carbon than to burn Hydrogen into Helium?

  4. Be able to describe each step in detail from main sequence to white dwarf of a solar mass star. Know what it is going on inside the star, that is the main fuel source, where it is occuring, and the outward physical appearance. If it helps, try sketching the steps.
