Wind farms of late 80's and early 90's were badly designed with densely packed, low output rotors that turned at a few 100 rpm. That arrangement is definitely bird killing. No such wind farms exist anymore, due to large improvements in wind turbine technology. Still, people live in the past.

Modern wind turbines rotate at 12-16 rpm - sufficiently slow such that birds can easily fly through them without being shredded. Still, notice all the bird eating sheep here just waiting for a meal.

To avoid killing birds:

  • Don't live in a high rise
  • Don't have a cat
